Vijay Deverakonda,  The actor has not made a single tweet or single statement about his long delayed movie ‘Ye Mantram Vesave’ which is finally out after five long years. Let’s see how it works on us.

Story: Nikki (Vijay Devarakonda) is a video game freak and soon he gets disconnected with the real world making his parents worry about him. The game gives him enjoyment.  Nikki also spend some time in chartrooms. He comes into contact with a girl, Rags (Shivani),a gaming designer on social media. She designs a game with city in the back drop and challenges Nikhil to complete the game. Nikhil accepts the challenge. Soon Nikki and Ragi life takes surprising turn once they start playing a real life game. To unravel the mystery of the real life game,  one should watch Ye Mantram Vesave on silver screen.

Plus Points:

Vijay Devarakonda is the only  does a decentjob in his role. Though he looks quite young and inexperienced during the time he shot the film, by the end of it all, his performance is the only thing which manages to watch.

Heroine Shivani Singh has a major role  does her job well. The basic concept of finding the heroine in a video game kind of a scenario has been thought off quite well. The second half is where the actual story starts and has some engaging moments.

Minus Points:

The narration of the film is very lazy as there are no gripping moments which keep the audience hooked on to the seats. Even though the concept looks good, the way the gaming world and the story weaved around it look a bit over the top.

Though the twist that is showcased during the end justifies the whole plot, the way things are narrated to this point lack the depth.

For about halftime into the film, you do not know what is going on as some silly thrills are showcased one after the other. Yet another biggest drawback of the film is the lack of good supporting cast. The villain looks silly and does not bring any depth to the proceedings.

Performance: Vijay Deverakonda who is known for his  fantastic performance and already have proved  his skills in Pelli Choopulu and Arjun Reddy,  has done good  job in this movie. Though his character don’t have that much to showcase his acting skills but he tried to impress the audiences with his performance skills but failed to give perfect emotions. Shivani Singh has a major role as the entire film revolves around her. She good in certain scenes.  Komya Virak, Nilakshi Singh, Raja Babu, Asish Raj, Prabhavati and Deepak and others performed accordingly.

Technical:  The dialogues are entertaining. Music of Abdus Samad is below average. Background score is impressive. Editing by  Dharmendra Kakarala is below par and could be better. Cinematography of Shiva Reddy is pleasing to eyes.  Shridhar Marri  narrates the film in a boring manner. Production quality is just ok. The director should have work on the story and script before going to sets.

Analysis: The director wants   to deliver  a powerful message oriented romantic entertainer by highlighting the negative side of the social media but he failed in his execution. First half ends after testing the patience of the audiences with a routine interval. Ye Manthram Vesave is all about the  game between a creator of game and an addict of video games and how some external forces create problems to their challenge in the game. Screenplay and narration are the biggest drawbacks.
